Creamfields is 10 years old this year, and to celebrate creamfield is going global with a amazin 13 creamfields festivals around the world. Creamfields 2008 is going to behuge.
The creamfields brand is now being recognised as the world leader in dance music festival production. THe 2008 schedule will see the creamfields festival being hosted around europe and south america. The flagship creamfields festival will still be creamfields UK which takes place on the saturday of August bank holiday weekend, and will be extra special as liverpool is the city of culture this year, Radio 1 will broadcast live from the event.
They are going to lots of new countries including Czech Republic, Malta, Romania and will be hosting a second event in spain. The 13 creamfields festivals are expected to attract half a million people.
Cream first overseas show was just across the irish sea in dublin Ireland, but from that base they did shows in Spain, Russia Mexico, Brazil, Czech Republic, and Argentina. The Creamfields bueno aries show attracts 60,00 clubbers and is the biggest creamfields event. Latin America has really taken to electronic dance music and cream is a established brand in that continent. Spain is also growing on the back of their many years hosting parties on the white isle of Ibiza.
Creamfields UK will be launched on Radio 1 during Jo Wiley’s show on Friday 7th March 2008.
