Creamfields 2009 huge success bring on 2010

Creamfields was this years hottest music festival which saw a sell out of up for it dance music fans.

The recession busting year that saw Creamfields lowering the ticket price to £100 also featured a stunning line up that was true to the festivals dance roots with sets from Dizzee Rascal, Tiesto, Deadmau5, Swedish House Mafia and Basement Jaxx to name a few

With a weekend full of surprises some of the highlights were Calvin Harris joining Dizzee Rascal on stage, which caught even Dizzee by surprise as his crew signalled to him from the side of the stage! Calvin Harris performed ‘Dance Wiv Me’ and ‘Holiday’ which erupted into a firework display of cannons and confetti and adding his disco edge to the incredible hip hop show which ended with the crowd literally going ‘Bonkers!’

David Guetta quite literally brought Creamfields to a close, having attracted double the capacity to the Cream arena for his Saturday night headline set, prompting the ‘Crowd control’ to shut down the arena for 20 minutes. He returning to perform a stand out set and declared it the ‘best he had ever done’ and one he would ‘never forget’! He then raised his hands into a heart shape infront of the 10,000 strong crowd who all followed suit as the words ‘One Love’ came on the gigantic screen on stage.

Tiesto’s headline set went down a storm on the main stage attracting a sea of 20,000 revellers, he mixed in tracks including his crowd pleasing Calvin Harris remix ‘I’m Not Alone’ and climaxing with ‘Raindrops’ as a cloud of glitter confetti exploded from the mainstage over the crowd lighting up the field.
Deadmau5 arrived in superstar style in a helicopter and revealed his brand new rodent inspired mau5head exclusively to the Creamfields crowd with fireworks to close the set rising up over the festival!
Swedish House Mafia brought their incredible stage show as they hosted their own tent again this year with top notch production of the highest order.
The ‘Early Bird’ award goes to Laidback Luke who packed out the subliminal arena at 2pm on Sunday with campers rising early for his set and queues stretching outside the tent!
2manyDJs rocked the main stage with their unique cut and pasting skills and they were also followed in Sunday service by Basement Jaxx who were the closing band on the main stage bringing a real carnival vibe to the event – as Carnival simultaneously hit the UK in London!
Creamfields once again reigns supreme as the worlds leading dance festival, if you don’t believe us, ask one of the thousands who were there!
Creamfields returns in 2010 on 28th & 29th August Bank Holiday Weekend.
