Cream 15 Years β Original Album Review
Looking back at the classic 2008 triple-CD compilation celebrating Cream’s legendary clubbing heritage.
60 tracks. Three CDs. Countless memories.
π Remembering Cream 15 Years
Back in 2008, Cream released a special triple-CD compilation celebrating 15 years of one of the most influential names in British dance music.
Cream 15 Years brought together 60 classic tracks covering house, progressive house, trance and some of the biggest club anthems of the era.
From the legendary Cream nights at Nation in Liverpool to unforgettable summers at Amnesia in Ibiza, the album was a celebration of the music that helped define a generation of clubbers.
It also provides a fascinating look back at the musical roots of Creamfields, long before the enormous festival stages and productions we see today.
From our archives: This review was originally published around the album’s release in 2008. We’ve refreshed the page and added the complete track listing, while preserving the personal memories and opinions from our original review. The original CD giveaway has long since ended.

β My Original Cream 15 Album Review
Cream have been at the forefront of dance music for around 15 years, and to celebrate they released a three-CD album called Cream 15.
I was lucky enough to be given a promotional copy to review, and it barely left my CD player in the weeks that followed.
The compilation pulls together some of the biggest dance anthems of the previous couple of decades.
Ultra NatΓ©’s Free instantly took me back to my first visit to Ibiza.
We went on a boat trip and this tune was absolutely banging out.
Happy days!
That’s what makes a compilation like this so enjoyable. One track can bring back memories of a particular holiday, a brilliant night out or a packed dancefloor.
The album captures the sound of Cream at Nation in Liverpool, as well as those huge nights in Ibiza, dancing until dawn at Amnesia and beyond.
If you love dance culture, this is a must-own compilation.
You get club anthems like Nightcrawlers’ Push the Feeling On and Robin S’s Show Me Love, plus Ibiza favourites such as Nalin & Kane’s Beachball, Push’s Universal Nation, Storm’s Storm and David Morales’ Needin’ U.
For me, Cream 15 is one of those albums that reminds you just how many fantastic dance records came out of that era.
And even years later, hearing some of these tracks still brings those memories flooding back.

π΄ Cream, Ibiza and Unforgettable Memories
For me, one of the best things about Cream 15 is the memories attached to the music.
Hearing Ultra NatΓ©’s Free immediately reminded me of my first trip to Ibiza.
We were out on a boat trip, enjoying the sunshine, with the music absolutely blasting.
That particular track has stayed with me ever since.
It’s amazing how hearing a song can take you straight back to a particular holiday or night out.
Cream’s famous nights at Amnesia were a huge part of Ibiza’s clubbing scene, and the compilation captures much of the atmosphere of that era.
Tracks such as Beachball, Universal Nation, Salt Water and Xpander are a reminder of just how special those years were for dance music.
π Cream at Nation β The Clubbing Years
Cream started in Liverpool in the early 1990s and became one of the most influential names in British dance music.
Its legendary nights at Nation attracted clubbers from across the country.
The club helped establish Liverpool as an important destination for electronic music and became associated with some of the biggest DJs of the era.
As Cream’s popularity grew, the brand expanded internationally, particularly through its Ibiza events.
The Cream 15 compilation celebrates this remarkable period in dance music history.
π₯ From Cream 15 to Creamfields 2027
One particularly interesting track on Cream 15 is The Prodigy’s Breathe, which closes the second CD.
The Prodigy have been an important part of British electronic music for decades, combining rave culture with explosive live performances.
With The Prodigy announced for Creamfields 2027, it’s a great reminder of the connection between the festival’s current line-up and its musical heritage.
It’s also one of the reasons we enjoy preserving these older articles.
They help show how Creamfields has developed over the years, while celebrating the artists and music that helped create the scene.
π Why Cream 15 Is Worth Revisiting
Today, electronic music festivals feature enormous stages, spectacular lighting and some of the biggest names in music.
But compilations like Cream 15 remind us of the records and clubbing experiences that helped build the scene.
From the unmistakable vocals of Robin S and Ultra NatΓ© to the progressive sounds of Sasha and the trance anthems of Push and Chicane, there’s plenty here to enjoy.
More importantly, it’s an album that brings back memories of nights out, holidays and the excitement of discovering dance music.
For anyone who remembers Cream at Nation or those unforgettable Ibiza summers, this compilation is a fantastic trip down memory lane.
