Creamfields is a legendary electronic dance music festival that has been captivating audiences since its inception in 1998. The festival has grown from a one-day event with 25,000 attendees to a four-day extravaganza with 70,000 fans per day, making it one of the most popular and prestigious festivals in the UK and the world.

Founded by Cream, a legendary Liverpool nightclub that hosted some of the biggest names in dance music, such as Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Carl Cox, and Tiësto, Creamfields has become a global phenomenon. The festival has expanded to various locations across the globe, such as Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Mexico, Peru, Spain, and more .

The first edition of Creamfields was held in Winchester, Hampshire. It featured live performances from artists such as Primal Scream and Run DMC, as well as DJ sets from hundreds of DJs including Sasha, Paul van Dyk, and Daft Punk. The following year, Creamfields moved to Liverpool’s old airport in Merseyside. The move put the festival closer to its parent nightclub and the new site was able to hold 50,000 people for the festival .

The festival stayed in Liverpool until 2005 and attracted more and more fans and artists every year. Some of the highlights of this period include The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Underworld, Faithless, and The Prodigy . In 2006, the festival moved to its current location in Daresbury, Cheshire. The new site offered more space and facilities for the festival-goers and allowed the festival to expand its line-up and stages.

In 2007, Creamfields celebrated its 10th anniversary by adding a second day to the event. The festival also introduced new genres and styles to its line-up such as indie rock, hip hop, drum and bass, and dubstep. Some of the acts that have graced the stages of Creamfields include Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren and many more.

Creamfields has come a long way since its inception in 1998. From humble beginnings as a one-day event to becoming one of the most popular festivals in the world with multiple locations across the globe. It has been an incredible journey for Creamfields and its fans alike.

Creamfields in 2023 was a 4 day festival and a stella line up of the best in dance and electronic music ( edm).

Creamfields is back in 2013, stronger than ever before! The world’s greatest electronic festival descends on Daresbury, Cheshire this August Bank Holiday Weekend to celebrate its 15th Anniversary with three days of pure and unrivalled electronic music. Over the past six months we have strived to deliver to you what we believe is the biggest line up we have ever seen at the festival, starting with Saturday headliners, The Prodigy.

As one of the most, if not the most influential dance acts on the planet, we’re pleased to announce The Prodigy will be headlining the North Stage on Saturday 24th August for their only UK performance this year. Expect bomb squad production, appendix churning bass and rushing keyboard hooks as you experience one of the greatest live shows of your lifetime.

Headlining the South Stage on Saturday will be Avicii. After thousands watched the Swedish phenomenon smash it last year we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us this time. Whilst Avicii enjoys the fresh heights of fame, one DJ who has been at the top of his game for the past two decades is Tiësto. A performer who has transcended musical genres, Tiësto continues to be one of the World’s top DJs and that’s why we’re happy to announce that he will be returning with the Clublife South Stage on Sunday. Proceeding with our world class line-up, we welcome back David Guetta who continues his global domination with the news that he has hit the 1 million sales record for his track ‘Titanium’ ft Sia, not to mention the numerous awards he has won over the past 12 months. As ever David will be bringing his full scale production and vast music catalogue to close Sunday’s North Stage.
